Program For 7 Days Atlas mountains And Atlantic Coast Birding Tour:

Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Oukaimeden

Today we meet you at your hotel, or we pick up you from local Marrakech airport the day before the tours starts. (Accommodation day before the birding tour starts on request - please contact us). Our bird-watching tour in Morocco starts driving up to the High Atlas Mountains to see variety of birds as : Sardinian Warbler, Spotless Starling, Moroccan Magpie, Moussier's Redstart , Little Owl, and House Bunting with Blue Rock Thrush and the endemic Levaillant's Green Woodpecker. Once we reach the Oukaimeden ski resort , here we will watch for the Crimson-winged Finch , Rock Sparrow, Black Wheatear, Alpine Chough and Atlas Horned Lark. We will have dinner and accommodation at the local hotel.

Day 2 : High Atlas Mountains - Ouarzazate - Boumalne Dades

Today we travel to Marrakech then we turn back uphill and we drive via Tizi-n-Tichka pass towards Ouarzazate with exploring Atlas mountains with Tristram’s Warbler ,also Long-legged Buzzard and Bonelli's Eagle. We continue to Skoura and Valley of Roses to reach Boumalne Dades. On the way we will have the opportunity to see Marbled Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, Black winged Stilts ,Maghreb Lark, Cormorants and Herons. Overnight and dinner in local hotel / riad in Boumalne Dades.

Day 3 : Dades - Tagdilt - Skoura - Ouarzazate

Today we head to the Tagdilt Track before sunrise to explore one of the top areas for birding in Morocco. We may be lucky to see Red-rumped Wheatear, Desert Wheatear, Maghreb Wheatear, Trumpeter Finch, Thekla Lark, Temminck's Lark, Short-toed Lark, Cream-coloured Courser and nomadic Thick-billed Lark. We will visit the Dades gorges with Bonelli's Eagle and Tristram's Warbler breeds. Then we transfer you to Ouarzazate for dinner and accommodation in local hotel.

Day 4 : Ouarzazate - Anti Atlas Mountains - Souss Valley - Taroudant - Agadir

Today we travel over the Anti Atlas mountains, into the Souss Valley. We will see various larks and wheatears. Especially in the Souss Valley we may see Black crowned Tchagra, Laughing Dove, Cirl Bunting, Spanish Sparrow. We reach Taroudant city where we may see Little and Pallid Swifts. We arrive to Agadir for dinner and accommodation in local hotel.

Day 5 : Agadir - Cap Rhir - Tamri Estuary

Today early in the morning we will stop at a beach to watch Lesser Black-backed Gulls of two races, Audouin's Gulls and a few Yellow-legged Gulls. Then we continue to Cap Rhir for a sea-watch where shearwaters and skuas will be waiting for us. We will drive north to Tamri , we explore the coast for the Northern Bald Ibis. In the afternoon we travel back to your Agadir hotel for dinner.

Day 6 : Oued Massa – Oued Souss

Today we explore the famous Oued Massa on the Atlantic Coast where we target : the secretive Black-crowned Tchagra, Marbled Duck, Moussier's Redstart, Sardinian Warbler, Little Owl, Glossy Ibis, Stone Curlew, Laughing Dove and Brown-throated Martin. We will visit the Oued Souss area for Flamingos, shorebirds and roosting gulls and terns. Overnight in Agadir hotel with dinner.

Day 7 : Agadir - Marrakech

Today we transfer you to Marrakech with some birding stops on the road. Dinner and accommodation in local Marrakech riad/hotel.
